Hello everyone...I am sorry I havent gotten to publishing a new blog the last week or so I have had pneumonia...getting lost of rest and relaxation...I am still not back to normal yet ...and hope you will pray for me for continued healing...thankyou...
Today we are going to be talking about Giving and Receiving ...we know that all things works in Pairs in Gods world...love/hate, sadness/happiness...and we cannot have one without the other....giving/receiving...
Giving: bestow, donate, furnish, supply, yield....
Receiving: take that which is offered, admit, welcome...
Now anyone who goes to church knows this is one of the important matters the churches depend on....freely you receive, freely you give...Leaders in the church must appreciate both the combination of Giving and Receiving and the church would not function without either one...as the church receives it in turn gives...
Do we always do this in our own lives.....we all want to give as it makes us feel good to help others when they are in need and it seems Giving is very easy ...but Receiving on the other hand takes humility....I have encountered Pastors who could not live by this Law of God and felt shame when having to ask for help in their personal lives from others and for their ministries and of course these ministries did not survive...we must be able not only to Give but Receive...
There are several people around me in my life who have a really hard time with Receiving ...people who are well off financially feel it is their duty to Give but admit they have no need for Receiving as they feel they do well with just Giving..is this not one of the reasons a rich person may have all they require in this world but still feel empty....this is because they do not Receive...what could a wealthy person need that they would receive from others...I would say things that cannot be bought...love, peace, healing, sharing, kindness, help , receiving ...these things can only be given by God and other people in their lives...
I had a very difficult time learning to Receive...being pretty well off and then coming to a point where I am now on a limited budget was one of the hardest things I would learn by Humility...I was always on the Giving end and never really thought that I needed to Receive...but God allowed this situation in my life so I could learn from not only Giving but Receiving...
What can you learn by Receiving ?...it makes us humble to have to Receive from others, how does it make you feel when you have to ask someone in your life for something?...it can be very uncomfortable ..I know ...learning and growing by Receiving can be very hard on our pride/ego...we think by not Receiving we are at the highest position in life...being independent....but are we really?
If you are not Receiving in your life, you are missing out on so much, not only do you take away the gift of giving from others , but you miss out on the wonderful feelings you get from Receiving in Love...when others offer to help you in your life, I hope you will Receive with Grace and Humility and grow in the Love of God ...for His Love is in the value of Giving and Receiving...asking for help builds character and replaces the disguise of ego/pride..bringing us to the level of equality with the Giver ...
To Give is also to Receive...make this an important aspect in your life, it will change who you are ....amen and amen...
Praise Jesus , He is the Way, the Light , the Truth...
